Key information
Opipopi is a short adventure game where players spend time in a quiet room before sleep. Released on various free game sites in April 2026, the title became available for free on Steam on October 2, 2026. The game features a soothing atmosphere enhanced by voice acting from Nako Natsuki.
Players interact with objects in the room using a mouse. There is no set order for exploration, and the game concludes when the character's sleepiness meter fills up. Depending on how many specific items the player notices, the story branches into three distinct endings.
Creator Grutan P explained that the game was built starting with system mechanics rather than a narrative. The concept originated from testing how player choices could influence the environment using variables. The setting of a room before sleep was added later to provide a natural conclusion to the exploration.
Grutan P chose to include human voice acting to better convey the game's temperature and theme. Despite the effort involved, the developer offers the game for free, comparing the experience to sharing a completed model kit with others. The project serves as a way for the creator to engage directly with players.
