Key information

Bahamut GNN has published a preview report for the global closed beta test of Asola: Star Wish, which lets players experience the main story prologue and the daily adventures of various magicians.

The game's setting takes place in a fictional 89th year of Tokyo, blending reality and mystery. Players assume the role of a director in the Special District Office, a government organization managing magician affairs, to interact with a cast of distinctive girls featuring a classic 90s Japanese anime aesthetic.

The combat system introduces high strategy and interactivity beyond pure numerical clashes, featuring up to four deployed magicians per battle. Encounters comprise action and judgment phases where players must react within time limits based on enemy intention icons, such as standard attacks that can be interrupted, pre-emptive strikes triggering QTE defense timing, and unstoppable red sword assaults requiring defensive character switches.

Combat actions consume shared AP points while ultimate skills require specialized energy. Players can also trigger territory declarations under specific conditions to boost stats and recover AP. Outside of battle, a free time system allows players to explore Tokyo and unlock personal character events.

During the closed beta, generous login rewards and gacha resources were provided, though character progression faced daily stamina and resource shortages that did not hinder overall stage progression.
