Key information

Unveiled at SAGA Barcelona Game Fest 2026, Hell Hold'em is an upcoming indie title from The Twisted House. This dark fantasy game marks the developer's first foray into computer games after 15 years of tabletop RPG production. Players control a magician navigating a hellish casino to repay debts by wagering their soul against demons in high-stakes Texas Hold'em matches.

The game combines traditional Texas Hold'em rules with roguelike deck-building. Players can perform "cheats" by using a hidden card to manipulate hands or force powerful combinations. A notable mechanic allows players to utilize the "666" combination, which serves as a devastating ultimate move that deals more damage than rare hands like a full house.

Demons possess unique AI routines and special abilities, such as altering card values or draining player health. To counter these threats, players collect "Evil Cards" and permanent artifacts. Director Pedro J. Ramos notes that while defeat resets skill trees, acquired special cards persist, lowering future difficulty. This design aims to make the story-driven RPG accessible even to those less experienced with card games.

Hell Hold'em is currently available for wishlisting on Steam. While there are no announced plans for Japanese language support, the title promises a blend of psychological poker strategy and addictive roguelike progression. Players will eventually face the deepest levels of hell to reclaim their souls.
