Key information

Independent studio Off By One Games, founded by former Rocket League developers, has released their debut title Trash Day. This physics-based cooperative adventure supports up to six players as they control raccoons escaping an animal control facility to reach a legendary raccoon paradise.

Players must work together to push, pull, and steer a wagon filled with scavenged trash across six distinct areas. The gameplay involves navigating hazardous environments including busy roads, bear traps, rockfalls, and rivers using tools like extendable ropes and boards.

Co-founder Corey Davis describes the game as one where plans often go comically wrong, contrasting with the high-precision physics games the team previously developed. While solo play is possible, the developers note that moving the wagon alone is extremely difficult.

Trash Day is available on PC via Steam for 7.99 USD, with a 10% discount running until October 27. The game features a soundtrack of 22 licensed tracks that are Content ID-free, allowing creators to stream and monetize their gameplay without copyright concerns.
