Key information
Polygon's weekly Wishlister newsletter has identified six upcoming Steam games that warrant attention. The publication emphasizes that despite the busy release calendar, these eclectic indie titles offer unique experiences worth tracking for future play.
The selection includes Mr. Records, a rhythm game featuring a genre-spanning soundtrack, and Battle Vision, a puzzling roguelike from Capybara Games that builds upon the mechanics of their previous title, Grindstone. Additionally, Coin Crew Games is developing Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, a co-op escape room sequel promising a more expansive world and narrative.
Other notable mentions include Tanuki: Pon’s Summer, a delivery game inspired by Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and Clowntown, a chaotic co-op party game described as a puzzle platformer with elements reminiscent of Mario Party and Pico Park. Finally, the strategy title Australia Did It features a blend of turn-based troop merging and survival-style gameplay.
Regarding availability, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School is currently slated for a November release. Interested players can already access a demo for Mr. Records on Steam to experience its gameplay firsthand.
