Players create custom puppet anglers to venture into the swamp. Successful catches must be brought back to base alive to be sold based on weight, providing funds to upgrade gear like reels, rods, and bait. The game also features local missions from residents, such as item recovery or delivery, which reward players with unique character parts and equipment.
The gameplay emphasizes risk management, as dying during exploration can result in the loss of both caught fish and equipped gear. To aid in coordination, the title includes proximity voice chat, allowing players to communicate during tense swamp encounters.
