Key information

Activision has unveiled new details regarding the extraction shooter mode DMZ for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The game is scheduled for release on 10月23日, with pre-order customers gaining early access to the DMZ experience starting 10月20日 at 10時.

The DMZ mode features an open-world map called Al Mazrah, which contains over 60 named locations and hundreds of buildings. Players must scavenge for supplies, complete objectives, and engage in combat against AI enemies and other players before attempting to extract. The environment includes varying threat levels that escalate based on player activity, featuring high-value targets like Lieutenants and formidable Commanders.

A new Forward Operating Base serves as a central hub for gear preparation, crafting, and managing operator progression. Players can utilize 3D printers to create equipment and upgrade base facilities. Operators grow through experience, gaining traits that can be customized across three trees. If an operator is eliminated, they enter an MIA state, requiring DMZ cash to recover them.

The mode introduces Hunter and Killer PvP mechanics. Killers earn cash by eliminating other players, eventually becoming marked as Wanted targets. Hunters track these targets to claim bounties. Additionally, DMZ features a unique progression system separate from the standard 1 to 55 level track, offering rewards up to level 70.
