Key information

At the OSAKA INDIE GAMES SUMMIT 2026 event held in Osaka from October 3 to 4, 2026, the 3D side-scrolling shooter Louloudi Asteri ~Save the Solar System~ was playable. Developed for PC on Steam by developer Seika Game Development, the title features a story set in a distant future where humanity fights off a massive virus with two space ships piloted by the aces Louloudi and Asteri.

While built in full 3D, the game maintains the familiar feel of a traditional 2D side-scrolling shooter. However, it introduces unique 3D mechanics including a rolling feature that rotates the entire screen viewpoint to reveal hidden enemy placement and bullet gaps, as well as a side-step maneuver allowing players to dodge attacks by moving into the depth of the screen.

Players utilize a twin-stick control scheme with a lock-on shot and can switch at any time between the two characters, who feature different equipment and separate power-ups. The game also includes beginner-friendly mechanics such as an automatic shield regeneration system, an energy recovery system, and a forward shield that blocks enemy projectiles when firing is withheld.

A demo version of Louloudi Asteri ~Save the Solar System~ is currently available on Steam while the game remains in development for PC platforms.
