Studio Doodal has officially announced the development of a new logic puzzle title titled Hopscout. The developer aims to release the game during the first half of 2027 and has already launched a dedicated Steam store page for the project.
In this game, players assume the role of Liebe, the leader of a rabbit burrow. The gameplay requires users to strategically assign rabbits to various missions while considering their unique personalities and preferences. The narrative is set more than three years after the conclusion of the 2023 platformer Lapin, featuring returning characters to maintain continuity within the shared universe.
Mechanically, players must solve puzzles by managing specific mission constraints and utilizing items such as umbrellas, lanterns, fans, and awnings to satisfy the rabbits' needs. Completing daily puzzles unlocks hidden character stories, while perfect clears grant new furniture and hearts used to unlock entries in the game's collection.
Studio Doodal has released a trailer on its official YouTube channel to showcase the atmosphere of the title. The studio intends to differentiate this experience from the platforming action of its predecessor while expanding upon the established world of Lapin.
