Sega has officially launched Season 2 for the racing title Sonic Racing Cross World. Available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, the update introduces significant gameplay additions and a series of high-profile collaborations.

The update adds a new 1-on-1 Duel Mode, playable both online and offline. This mode features the Duel Boost mechanic, which allows players to accelerate based on a gauge that fills faster when trailing an opponent. Additionally, the gadget system has been expanded with the Grand Master Plate, a seventh Super Slot for enhanced effects, and 15 new gadgets.

Season 2 brings new racers Bayonetta and Aigis, unlockable via offline Rival Duel challenges. Furthermore, a collaboration with McLaren Racing introduces a speed-type vehicle and a special champion-edition Sonic. The game also features a new pricing structure, with the standard digital edition reduced to 4990 yen across all platforms.

A robust roadmap of collaboration DLC is scheduled from November through next year. The Godzilla Pack arrives on November 4 for 660 yen, followed by content featuring Evangelion, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Persona. These packs are available individually or through the Season 2 Pass.
