Key information

Indie developer Alex has launched a free demo for Parcel Inspector Simulator on Steam. Set in 1962, the game places players in the role of a night-shift worker at a transit post office tasked with inspecting and sorting incoming packages.

Players operate as new inspectors, manually handling packages on a conveyor belt. Mechanics involve weighing items, utilizing X-ray scanners, and applying UV lights to inspect contents. Users must verify sender and recipient details against official regulations before stamping items for processing.

Decisions include approving, returning, holding for customs or security, seizing, or destroying items. After the first day, the game provides no direct feedback on errors, meaning mistakes lead to salary deductions, reputation loss, or rule violations. Each day introduces new regulations regarding fragile goods, counterfeits, and return fraud.

Earnings allow for upgrading inspection stations with tools like HD X-ray tubes and database terminals. While the demo covers five nights, the full version, arriving November 13, 2026, features a 20-night campaign with multiple endings and support for 13 languages, including Korean.
