Key information
Developer ChillyRoom has officially released its top-down extraction shooter, No Such Place, into Steam Early Access as of October 14. Players assume the role of agents within the U.R.C. organization, tasked with exploring fractured dimensional shards to recover lost truths while managing survival and extraction within strict time limits.
The game features a high-freedom weapon modification system, allowing players to combine diverse, era-spanning, or anomaly-corrupted parts to create unconventional gear. However, extreme modifications carry the risk of weapon failure. Beyond equipment, characters improve their physical capabilities and weapon proficiency through repeated deployments, enhancing agility and load capacity.
Cooperative play is supported, enabling squads of up to four investigators to coordinate tasks and loot collection to increase survival rates. Players must also manage their safehouse, which serves as a base for logistics and preparation. The current Early Access build includes three distinct regions and various temporal nodes for exploration.
Regarding progression, the developer closed the previous demo on October 12. While some items and gear carry over, mission progress is reset due to significant differences in the full version. The game is priced at 349 TWD, with a 14% launch discount reducing it to 300 TWD for the first two weeks.
