Key information

Developer EXLIX has announced that its upcoming title, Orion's Blue, is scheduled for release on Steam on November 30. A playtest is currently underway, and players can request access directly via the Steam store page. Additionally, the game will participate in the Steam Next Fest running from October 19 to 26.

Orion's Blue is a 2D pixel-art casual fishing adventure set on an unfamiliar ocean planet where players enjoy a relaxing fishing lifestyle. Catches can be broken down into crafting materials to create furniture, allowing players to freely decorate their ship and personal quarters.

The island features 14 residents, with 10 open to romantic relationships. Each character possesses distinct personalities, preferred gifts, and unique dialogue paths requiring varied approaches to build familiarity. Furthermore, an idle mode is included so fishing continues even when away from the screen.

The development team aimed to combine the quiet atmosphere of Cast n Chill with the progressive resident relationship-building found in Stardew Valley. The soundtrack utilizes ambient music, acoustic guitar, tropical themes, and bossa nova. The playtest offers seven in-game days of content, taking about three to four hours in real time, and the title supports 14 languages including Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
