James Bond title 007 First Light is receiving a free Extended Operations DLC update today. The release introduces several highly requested additions, including New Game Plus, a new harder difficulty option, a photo mode, additional TacSim mission challenges, and gameplay adjustments.
According to a press release, gameplay adjustments include improved weapon handling fidelity for more precise movement and weapon behavior. Additionally, enemies are now able to throw players off ledges.
New Game Plus unlocks after completing the campaign on any difficulty, which simultaneously unlocks the new 00 difficulty mode. This harder setting tightens combat, stealth, and social encounters with two-hit kills, faster enemy reactions, restricted gadget use, and tougher guard variants.
The update's TacSim missions feature an Aston Martin Valhalla challenge across the Slovakian mountainside with optional rocket-launchers, alongside a mission at the Pearl resort in Vietnam involving a redesigned villa interior for enhanced stealth. Furthermore, the new photo mode allows players to pause action and adjust character poses, lighting, lens settings, and processing filters.
Game director Dominic Vega noted in a companion trailer that the DLC serves as a thank you to players. Released in May, 007 First Light has surpassed 4m sales in three months.
