Key information
Nexon's Embark Studios will release the Frozen Mountain Path update for Arc Raiders on October 8. This update introduces the Pendola Pass alpine battlefield, machine learning-enhanced enemies, and an expanded base system. Additionally, the developers will host a limited-time PvE matchmaking transition test for cooperative players.
The Pendola Pass is a harsh tundra region featuring rocky terrain and frozen infrastructure. Players can utilize the new grappling hook tool for vertical movement or slide down snowy slopes. A crashed Emperor-class machine and a floating airship called the Frigate serve as major points of interest containing valuable resources and high-tier loot.
New machine learning-driven enemies include Bully, a quadrupedal unit utilizing shotgun attacks, and Skulker, which hides in low bushes. Another addition is Hydra, a stationary turret combining three distinct weapon platforms. The update also introduces the Stiletto light rifle, Bantam heavy revolver, amplification systems for existing weapons, and a non-combat camera tool.
Furthermore, players can build ground-based outposts to construct custom bases. Due to player preferences, a limited-time PvE matchmaking test will run from October 13 to 20, featuring lower loot values and specific balance adjustments, while excluding night raids and other special environments.
