Ubisoft has officially announced the closure of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile, a tactical shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal for iOS and Android. This decision comes less than a year after the title's global launch in February 2026.
Despite the upcoming shutdown, the game will remain playable until January 15, 2027. Developers confirmed that the next season will proceed as scheduled, launching next week, with further details regarding future content to be shared soon.
Ubisoft Montreal expressed pride in the community's engagement, including tournaments and fan-created content. The studio stated that the team will now transition to focus on other long-term strategic projects, promising more information on this transition in the coming weeks.
The company continues to expand its tactical portfolio, having previously announced Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics, a title described as being in the style of XCOM. Meanwhile, the publisher remains focused on its broader catalog, including the ongoing support for Rainbow Six Siege.
