The infamous owl Kaepora Gaebora, known for trapping players in repetitive, one-sided conversations, appears significantly less talkative in the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
During a 15-minute preview of the title, the reviewer encountered the character and found the interaction to be brief and pleasant. Unlike the original game, the owl did not force the player into an endless loop of dialogue regarding map navigation or repetitive explanations.
While it remains unclear if these dialogue reductions apply to every encounter throughout the game, the change aligns with broader quality-of-life improvements implemented in this version. The character has received a new visual design and will continue to provide transportation from Lake Hylia.
Players can experience these adjustments firsthand when The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches on the Switch 2 on 5th November.
