Following Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, Warner Bros. Interactive is set to combine with the newly formed Paramount Games Studio to form a single interactive entertainment unit.
The newly formed division will handle projects based on a large library of intellectual properties, including Mortal Kombat, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Game of Thrones, South Park, Star Trek, and DC Comics properties.
Leadership of the combined games and experiences division will fall to Skydance president Tony Driscoll. Gordon stated in a staff memo that games and experiences represent core pillars for building audience engagement.
The merged studio unit encompasses developers such as Avalanche Software, Rocksteady Studios, TT Games, and NetherRealm Studios. However, future plans remain unclear alongside potential impacts from looming layoffs.
