Nolan North, the actor who portrayed Nathan Drake, recently discussed the decade-long absence of new entries in the Uncharted franchise. During a question and answer session at Gamergy Puerto Rico, North made a public appeal to Sony regarding a potential Uncharted 5.
Reflecting on the franchise's history, the last original game in the series was the spin-off Uncharted The Lost Legacy released in 2017. Meanwhile, developer Naughty Dog has released three titles on PS5, consisting solely of two remasterizations and one remake.
During the event, North stated that he has no knowledge of Sony or PlayStation's plans for a return of the treasure hunter. Nevertheless, the actor confirmed he would join a new project immediately and joked that he is trying to stay in shape just in case.
Emphasized as a potential business opportunity, North stated that a new installment would be a massive announcement and directly told Sony to call him to make money. Currently, any ideas regarding a return featuring Cassie or a remake remain unconfirmed rumors.
