S-Game has revealed new details regarding Phantom Blade Zero, an action title described as kung fu punk. Director Qiwei "Soulframe" Liang confirmed that the game will launch on October 29 for PlayStation 5 and PC.

The game will feature over 50 distinct bosses, a figure that may increase before release. Defeating these powerful enemies is essential for progression, as it allows players to unlock 30 primary weapons and approximately 20 secondary weapons.

In a departure from typical soulslike mechanics, standard enemies will not respawn after being defeated, even when players rest at save points. The studio implemented this design choice to eliminate grinding and ensure a fresh experience throughout the campaign.

The variety of adversaries will expand as the story progresses. Players will encounter enemies of varying sizes, including those equipped with shields and others mounted on horseback, reflecting the game's blend of Chinese martial arts and an aggressive aesthetic.
