SNK has announced that Tokyo Revengers characters Sano Manjiro, known as Mikey, and Ryuguji Ken, known as Draken, will officially join the roster of the fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on October 22.
Attendees at the EVO France event held between October 9 and 11 observed that Mikey features unique animations for his super special move depending on the gender of his opponent.
When facing female characters, Mikey performs a gentler sequence where he pushes the opponent down and strikes the ground near their face. In contrast, he delivers direct facial attacks against male opponents. Players speculate this design choice reflects Mikey's character trait from the original series of refusing to strike women.
The collaboration features the original Japanese voice cast, with Hayashi Yu voicing Mikey and Fukunishi Masaya voicing Draken, aiming to integrate the series' world and character traits into the game's combat systems.
