Reports suggest Razer may soon release carbon fibre versions of its Viper V4 Pro and DeathAdder V4 Pro gaming mice. According to peripheral reviewer iitzKami, these upcoming iterations aim to reduce weight further, with the carbon fibre Viper V4 Pro potentially weighing 47 g compared to the standard 49 g model.
Beyond weight reductions, the rumored DeathAdder V4 Pro carbon fibre variant is expected to feature an upgraded Focus Pro 50K Gen-3 sensor alongside improved battery life. These details originate from social media posts and images shared by iitzKami, though the information remains unconfirmed.
The potential pricing for these devices has drawn significant concern. Listings on JD.com reportedly show the mice at 1,999 Chinese Yuan, which converts to approximately $300 USD. This price point is notably higher than the standard Viper V4 Pro, which retails for $160, and exceeds the cost of other premium competitors like the $200 X3 Superstrike.
While the prospect of lighter hardware is appealing, the high cost could prove difficult for consumers to accept. It remains uncertain if the $300 figure reflects a global pricing strategy or a specific market conversion issue. As of now, Razer has not officially confirmed these products.
