A new modification for Grand Theft Auto 5 titled Eject allows players to exit their vehicles instantly at the press of a button. The creator developed this tool as a personal escape mechanism following an in-game kidnapping incident involving a taxi.
While the mod description promises a parachute-assisted descent, the author reports that the experience is more akin to a screaming plummet. The script includes a configurable Force setting, which the creator adjusted from the default value of 150 up to 10,000. Attempting to set this value to 100,000 resulted in the game crashing upon launch.
The author notes that the mod struggles with the preservation of momentum during use. Consequently, attempts to perform stunts, such as leaping across an overpass and landing back inside a moving vehicle, were entirely unsuccessful.
Despite the technical limitations and the lack of safe landings, the creator characterizes the mod as a mixed success. This project is part of an ongoing series of daily modifications applied to the game by the author.
