During the IGN Fall Fan Fest, developer 12AM Blackout unveiled a new trailer for Jiaohun. This first-person psychological horror experience is set within the Chinese location of Fairy Town, Baishoi County, during the year 1999.
The gameplay focuses on exploration and puzzle-solving while drawing inspiration from Chinese folktales. Players will navigate abandoned buildings to uncover secrets and encounter entities such as a nameless god, demons, masked figures, and hands featuring eyes.
A central theme of the title is the exploration of obsession. To aid in their journey, players will utilize various mystical artifacts, including pagers reminiscent of the 1990s, to progress through the unsettling environment.
Jiaohun is scheduled to launch in 2027 for PC via Steam and PlayStation 5. Interested players currently have the option to add the game to their Steam wishlist.
