Sony has unveiled a new limited edition DualSense wireless controller designed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Gran Turismo franchise. This special hardware release honors the series' long-standing history as a premier driving simulator.
The controller features a design influenced by automotive engineering, incorporating racing stripes and motorsport-themed graphics. A notable aesthetic detail is the textured, carbon-fibre-style front plate, which aims to evoke the performance-oriented spirit of the racing games.
Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi expressed gratitude toward the community, noting that the product celebrates the shared journey of the franchise over the last three decades. The design serves as a tribute to the vision of sharing the beauty of automobiles with players.
The controller will be sold globally for a recommended retail price of $84.99 USD, €84.99, £74.99, or ¥12,480. Pre-orders open on October 22 at 10:00am local time, with the official global launch scheduled for December 10.
