Ghost of Yotei is receiving a definitive repackaging titled Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition. Players can purchase the complete package or opt for an upgrade that includes two new content offerings: a narrative expansion called Echoes of Sekigahara and a combat survival mode named Most Wanted.
The Echoes of Sekigahara expansion sends Atsu to the Ashoro Foothills to investigate an old figure from her past named Nagato. The story splits its focus between the present-day Ashoro Foothills and Atsu's time during the Battle of Sekigahara, establishing her relationship with Nagato and exploring her character before she seeks revenge for her family.
From a gameplay perspective, the Ashoro Foothills adds a new region to Ezo filled with activities such as rescuing civilian hostages and dealing with the infighting Vipers. The expansion also introduces two new heavy weapons, the Otsuchi and the Ono, though they are temporary weapons that break after a few swings rather than permanent additions.
The Complete Edition also includes Most Wanted, a wave-based roguelite mode where players battle Saito's forces to take down members of the Yotei Six. Players can choose from playable characters Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin, who each specialize in specific weapon types and skills, offering an additional five or so hours of gameplay beyond the narrative expansion.
