Developers Freshly Baked Games and publisher Future Friends Games have officially announced that the fantasy RPG Queen's Domain will release on 30th October. Players take on the role of a son searching for his missing father on a mysterious island populated by skeletal creatures, laser trees, and a sleeping Queen.
The game features a combat system centered on a holy sword that enables blink-jumping, alongside a variety of infinite throwing weapons governed by cooldowns. Players must manage a stamina bar while engaging in tactical melee encounters, which involve moving in to strike enemies and retreating to avoid incoming damage.
Exploration is a core component, with the developers promising a labyrinthine setting filled with detailed pixelated environments. The game includes over 50 melee weapons to upgrade, more than 20 types of secondary throwing items, and over 100 distinct enemies and bosses to challenge throughout dozens of hours of gameplay.
Interested players can currently access a demo for the title on Steam. The game is being compared to titles like Lunacid, Vagrant Story, and Final Fantasy 12 for its aesthetic and structural design.
