Konami is actively planning to expand the Silent Hill franchise beyond its current offerings. Following the release of recent titles, the company has confirmed that it is already looking toward future installments to ensure the series continues to grow.
Producer Motoi Okamoto stated in an interview with Famitsu that the recent releases, including Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall, represent only the first wave of content. Konami is currently developing plans for a second and third wave, potentially totaling six additional projects.
The company is exploring diverse international settings for these future games, considering locations such as South America, Central America, Russia, Italy, or South Korea. While specific details remain undisclosed, Okamoto noted that Konami is currently studying various projects.
Okamoto expressed satisfaction with the success of the initial titles, despite the historical difficulty of securing approval for projects like the Silent Hill 2 remake. Although Konami aims for an annual release cadence, the producer acknowledged that this goal is challenging given modern industry development timelines.
