Following positive fan reception, DC Studios has initiated early development on subsequent episodes of the series Lanterns. Although an official green light for a new season has not been granted, showrunner Damon Lindelof confirmed that initial drafts are currently being written.
A significant change in leadership will occur for the upcoming production. Damon Lindelof, who served as a key figure in directing and writing for the initial season, will depart from the project to focus on other endeavors outside of this franchise.
Chris Mundy is set to assume the primary role for the next phase of the project. He will be responsible for maintaining the narrative quality that defined the series, proving the show can continue to succeed despite the departure of Lindelof.
Regarding the release timeline, further developments remain contingent on the events of Superman: Man of Tomorrow. This upcoming film is expected to serve as a turning point for various characters within the DC Studios universe.
