Black Clover is returning for a second season after an absence of more than five years, picking up the story directly where the original anime left off in 2021 with episode 170. Asta, Yuno, and the Black Bulls return as Asta and the Magic Knights prepare for a new phase of the war against the Spade Kingdom.
The second season, designated as episode 171 in relation to the previous ones, will premiere exclusively on Crunchyroll on Saturday, October 3 at 17:00 in Spain.
Studio Pierrot continues to animate the project, with Ayataka Tanemura returning to lead the direction following his work on the final stages of the original series and the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.
The original manga by Yuki Tabata concluded in May 2026 after 11 years of publication, positioning the returning anime to adapt the work as it heads toward its final arcs.
