ARC Raiders will be free to play for an entire weekend, allowing players to download and experience the full version of the game. The free access period runs from October 8 to October 12 across PC via Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Players who decide to purchase the game after the trial will carry over all of their progress and collected items.
The free weekend serves as a launchpad for Frozen Trail, which is described as the heaviest update the game has received since release. The update introduces a new map named Pendola Pass, alongside new enemies, weapons, gadgets, progression adjustments, and endgame challenges.
While new players would normally need to spend hours playing to unlock the new map, a shortcut allows them to join friends who already have Pendola Pass unlocked to access the zone immediately. In addition to the update, the developers announced that users caught using cheats will face an immediate permanent ban.
