Ubisoft has officially launched a vanguard test for its upcoming multiplayer online battle arena title, March of Giants. To mark the start of this testing phase, the development team released a cinematic trailer showcasing the game's atmosphere.
The game features 4v4 tactical combat where players command soldiers and deploy defensive structures like trenches, tanks, bunkers, and turrets. Set in a war-torn city inspired by early 20th-century technology, participants control giant heroes while managing real-time strategy elements and lane-based warfare to defeat the opposing team.
This vanguard test, running until October 18, introduces significant improvements over the initial Alpha phase. Updates include adjustments to combat mechanics, soldier behavior, neutral objectives, equipment systems, and overall game pacing.
Following this current session, the developers have scheduled two additional testing periods. The studio currently aims to launch the game into early access during the summer of 2027.
