Sanrio and Sunblink have announced the Welcome Home update for Hello Kitty Island Adventure, bringing the title to version 3.0. This free content expansion introduces player homes and the ability to construct residences for existing Sanrio characters. Additionally, Marroncream joins the game as a permanent resident.
Marroncream assists players with decoration and customization tasks. New features include Floorplans for expanding house rooms, Cabin Layouts for saving designs, and a Creative Mode Room for specific layouts. Furthermore, new mailboxes allow for auto-gifting, which helps players build character relationships more efficiently.
The seasonal Days of Plenty event returned on October 8, 2026. This fall-themed celebration, which has been active since 2024, tasks players with collecting special currency to exchange for exclusive furniture and clothing items. The 2026 iteration features My Melody, My Sweet Piano, and Little Twin Star Lala.
The 3.0 update is available across Switch, Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Apple iOS platforms. A $59.99 Switch 2 Friendship Bundle launches on October 15, 2026, in North America, Europe, and Australia, followed by a November 20, 2026 release in Japan. PC users also gain access to a Friend Pass for co-op play.
