Japanese publisher CyberStep has officially announced that it is taking over the development of the otome game project titled Nara Koi, originally conceived by Aonimaru. The project, which focuses on romance with historical figures, is now moving forward under the company's management.
The game features a premise where players can pursue romantic relationships with ancient Japanese historical figures. Notable characters included in the concept are Prince Shotoku, Nakatomi no Kamatari, and Otomo no Yakamochi.
The project was initially introduced by Aonimaru in March of this year, gaining significant attention on social media. However, development was previously suspended due to various challenges faced by the solo creator, leading Aonimaru to seek corporate assistance to revive the title.
Regarding platform availability, the developers have tentatively scheduled the game for release on Windows via Steam and the Nintendo Switch console.
