Developer Gelappa announced that the pitch-based quiz game Absolute Pitch Garden Eel will release on Steam on November 11. The title supports both Japanese and English, though the final pricing remains unannounced.
The gameplay involves garden eels that stretch or shrink in response to musical notes. Players must identify the correct pitch as melodies play. Successful answers cause the eels to dance, while incorrect guesses or running out of time result in the creatures retreating into their burrows.
Players encounter various eel types, such as the piano-toned Chinta tribe or the electric-style Gonta tribe. Building trust with these creatures and answering correctly improves a collection book rank, progressing from copper to rainbow levels.
The game includes a feature to compose melodies up to 32 measures long for sharing with others. Additionally, a demo version will be available during the Steam Next Fest starting October 20.
