Risk of Rain 2 has officially released its fourth downloadable content expansion, titled Hallowed Concepts. The surprise launch occurred during the early hours of the 9th, following an initial announcement at The Triple-i initiative event held on April 10th.
This expansion introduces fresh gameplay mechanics centered on spells and curses. Players must navigate these new systems to overcome challenges while exploring dark regions tied to N'kuhana on the planet Petrichor V, which feature previously unseen enemies and bosses.
Beyond combat additions, the DLC incorporates a collection element involving pages of Entormat. These features expand upon the core roguelike experience, where players typically combine items to strengthen survivors while attempting to escape the mysterious planet.
The Hallowed Concepts content is currently available for players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
