Developer Rebel Wolves has announced a significant update for the vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker, which originally launched in September. Scheduled for release during the week of October 19, the 1.1 patch introduces over 1,100 fixes and improvements to the title.

The update adds a new Story mode featuring additional assistance tools, allowing players to focus on the narrative. Furthermore, the existing Story mode will be renamed to Forgiving. Players can now also interact with animals, as the studio adapted the directional combat system to enable petting dogs and cats.

Combat and movement receive substantial adjustments, including refined camera animations and improved targeting mechanics. The Shadowstep and Planeshift abilities are now more responsive, particularly regarding surface attachment. Additionally, a new item called the Draught of Mind Rebirth allows players to reset their skills in Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism to try different playstyles.

PC users gain enhanced FrameGen configuration options, while accessibility is improved through adjustable subtitle sizes and full dialogue coverage. Notably, the Japanese Steam version will remove previous censorship of blood and graphic violence. The patch arrives in the week of October 19, though a specific day remains unconfirmed.
