Spider-Man: Edge of Time marks its 15th anniversary, having originally been released in the United States on October 4, 2011, before arriving in Europe ten days later. The publication date of the Vandal report is October 4, 2026, with an update at 12:35 on the same day.

Developed by Beenox and published by Activision, the action-adventure title was the studio's second Marvel game following 2010's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. It launched on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, alongside portable Nintendo 3DS and DS versions handled by Other Ocean Interactive with numerous changes.

The adventure focused on Peter Parker and Miguel O'Hara, known as Spider-Man 2099, following an accident endangering their timelines. Players could control both heroes with distinct abilities, where actions performed by one Spider-Man affected the other. Due to licensing, the game was removed from digital distribution on January 1, 2014.

Upon release, the title received mixed reviews, with critics praising certain story elements while panning repetitive gameplay and lower overall quality compared to its predecessor. Beenox later worked on titles like The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, and participates in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
