Ubisoft has announced plans to shut down its RedLynx studio in Finland and reduce the headcount at its Singapore location. These organizational changes follow reports surfacing on the 14th regarding the company's ongoing restructuring efforts.

The RedLynx facility, known for the Trials series, faces closure because it currently lacks active projects, making sustainable operations impossible. This decision is expected to impact 52 employees, though local regulations require the company to engage in formal negotiations due to the size of the workforce reduction.

In Singapore, the company intends to reorganize and downsize the team by 70 people after evaluating the studio's future strategic role. This branch has historically contributed to the Assassin's Creed franchise and led development on Skull and Bones as well as the Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake.

Beyond its primary series, RedLynx previously assisted with the Google Stadia version of The Division 2 and the mobile title Gwen's Getaway. Most recently, the studio provided support for the Switch 2 version of Star Wars Outlaws.
