Hamster has announced the release of the 1987 Seta shooting game Special Forces U.A.G. for modern consoles. The title will be available starting October 15 across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
In the game, players control a special forces operative riding a high-speed motorcycle equipped with a machine gun to infiltrate enemy fortresses. Destroying buildings reveals various sidecar power-ups, which offer different firing capabilities, such as increased range or lateral shooting, allowing players to adapt to specific combat scenarios.
The release includes the Arcade Archives 2 version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, priced at 1,100 yen. Owners of the original Arcade Archives version on PS4 or Switch can purchase the updated Arcade Archives 2 edition at a discounted rate of 330 yen.
Pricing for the standard Arcade Archives release is set at 837 yen for the PS4 version and 838 yen for the Switch version. Additionally, Hamster will host a special feature on their YouTube program, Arcade Archiver, on October 15 to discuss the game and its development.
