Developer Slow Bros has officially announced that their narrative-driven adventure title, Harold Halibut, is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12th.
The game features a unique aesthetic created through the use of physical sets and puppets, which were scanned into the digital environment. This project, which began development in 2013, depicts a retro-future world set aboard a massive spaceship stranded within an alien ocean.
Players assume the role of Harold, a character tasked with maintaining the vessel while interacting with a fully voice-acted cast. The narrative explores themes of friendship and the search for home, following the crew's failed attempt to find a new world after fleeing Earth two and a half centuries prior.
Following its initial launch in the Spring of 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles, this upcoming release brings the handcrafted experience to a portable platform for the first time.
