The open-source application DroidDeck allows Snapdragon-equipped Android hardware to execute the Steam client and Windows titles locally. Unlike streaming services, this method processes games directly on the mobile device, as demonstrated by YouTuber ETA Prime on a RedMagic 11 Pro.
The software functions by launching Valve's ARM64 Linux Steam client in Big Picture mode alongside ARM64 Proton for x86 translation. It supports features like AMD FSR, Snapdragon GSR, and frame generation via Lossless Scaling, all without requiring root access or a full operating system replacement.
Performance varies by hardware; Cyberpunk 2077 achieved 60 FPS on medium settings, while Hogwarts Legacy reached approximately 40 FPS. Compatibility is limited to Adreno 730 and newer GPUs, with experimental support for Adreno 6xx. Users must disable Android's child-process restriction to initiate the client.
The project remains unofficial and lacks support from Valve, which does not officially provide Steam for Linux on Arm. Consequently, users may encounter stability issues, such as the inability to launch specific titles like Raft, and should expect potential technical inconsistencies.
