Developer 4th Branch has officially announced blockia, a new block simulation game, by launching its Steam store page. This title marks the first collaborative project between koeda, known for the deck-building roguelike ANTHEM#9, and independent creator 4423.
The game allows players to construct various creations using over 120 different parts, including buildings, furniture, nature elements, and decorations. Players can freely place, rotate, and color these components to build scenes like rooms or street corners at their own pace without specific goals or correct solutions.
For those seeking guidance, a recipe feature provides templates such as rockets, rabbits, or houses. These guides show the necessary parts and placement, allowing users to build models step-by-step before customizing them further. Saved projects can be reopened and expanded upon later.
Players can utilize a photo mode to adjust composition, lighting, and color to capture their creations. These images can be stored in an in-game album or exported for social media sharing. The title is currently scheduled for release on PC via Steam in the autumn of 2026.
