Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially unveiled the upcoming additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for October 2026. The lineup features several notable titles, including the latest entry in the Mafia franchise, Horizon Forbidden West, and various other games arriving throughout the month for subscribers.
The featured title, Mafia: The Old Country, is a prequel set in early 1900s Sicily. Players assume the role of Enzo Favara, navigating involvement with the Torrisi crime family. In a 2025 review, Polygon's Giovanni Colantonio noted that the game balances crime-focused gameplay with themes of poverty and labor issues, describing it as a sobering reflection on historical exploitation.
The release schedule for these titles is staggered. Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West arrive on Oct. 20, alongside RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition. Dino Crisis 2 also joins on Oct. 20, though it is restricted to Premium tier subscribers. Additional titles, including Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise — Beyond the Dawn Edition, and Monster Energy Supercross 25, are scheduled for Oct. 27, while The Midnight Walk launches on Oct. 14.
Access to the Game Catalog is limited to subscribers of PlayStation Plus tiers above Essential. This service functions as Sony's competitor to Xbox Game Pass, providing a library of downloadable PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles. Separately, the October 2026 Essential tier offerings include the racing title F1 25.
