At Brasil Game Show 2026, developer HeartLoop Games showcased Poly Fighter, a roguelike fighting game launching on PC via Steam on October 13, 2026. The Montreal-based studio, composed of industry veterans, designed the title to support 13 languages, including Japanese.

The core gameplay involves selecting a character with unique perks and defeating opponents to steal their techniques. Players can customize their fighter by integrating these stolen moves, creating thousands of potential builds. Felipe Brito of HeartLoop Games noted that the game draws inspiration from classic titles like The King of Fighters, Tekken, and Street Fighter.

Players navigate a map where they choose between opponents, each offering specific skills to acquire. The game features two control schemes: a simple input method and a traditional command-based system. While the game offers a Classic difficulty, a Cozy mode is also available for those seeking a more relaxed experience.

Poly Fighter is strictly a single-player experience, omitting online competitive modes to focus on one-on-one combat. The title refers to both the game's low-polygon aesthetic and the diverse, multi-faceted nature of the character builds. With three leagues and an additional high-difficulty Ascension Run, the developers aim to provide high replayability.
