At Brasil Game Show 2026, CEO Gilson B. Pontes discussed LGS Games Productions, a studio that has released five action-adventure titles for PS4 since 2020. These games, all available on the Japanese PlayStation Store, focus on Japanese history, samurai, ninjas, and mythology.

The series began with 2020's Shadow the Ronin: The Revenge to the Samurai. Subsequent titles include Taishogun: The Rise of Emperor, Ashigaru: The Last Shogun, Jimbaori: The Ōnin War, and 2024's Shinobi: The Warlord. These games utilize distinct visual styles, ranging from monochrome and sepia tones to vibrant red and orange palettes, while featuring supernatural elements like dragons and demons.

Pontes attributes his inspiration to Japanese cinema, particularly Akira Kurosawa’s work, and anime like AKIRA. He also cites a deep appreciation for Japanese Tokusatsu series such as Juspion and Space Sheriff Gavan. While the games blend historical settings with supernatural imagination, Pontes notes that Ashigaru is currently the only title in the series to support Japanese audio and subtitles.

Looking ahead, LGS plans to release Sengoku: Blades of War in 2027. This upcoming project marks a technical shift for the studio, as Pontes is transitioning development from Unity to Unreal Engine. The developer intends to launch this title across Japan, Europe, and the United States, aiming to build upon the experience gained from his previous historical action games.
