Riot Games announced details for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, running under the theme 'This is Our Moment'. The tournament begins in October in the United States, bringing together 19 teams across six regions to compete through play-in, Swiss, and knockout stages before concluding in November.
The play-in stage starts on October 16 at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, featuring double-elimination, best-of-five matches with teams including MVK e스포츠, Karmine Corp, Cloud9 KIA, and a CBLOL seed. Only one play-in team advances to the Swiss stage.
The Swiss stage kicks off on October 24 in Allen, Texas, where LCK representatives Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1, and Dplus KIA join the competition. LCK teams aim for a fifth consecutive world title and their 11th overall championship across 15 tournaments. Other participating regions include LPL, LCS, LEC, LCP, and CBLOL.
The tournament moves to Brooklyn, New York, for the knockout stage, culminating in the finals on November 15 at 4 AM at the Barclays Center. Riot Games will also launch fan events such as Pick'Ems on October 10, alongside commemorative items including the True Damage Know My Name Yasuo skin and the theme song 'Know My Name' on October 9.
