Producer Motoi Okamoto recently revealed that Konami is actively planning a second and third wave of new entries for the Silent Hill horror franchise. This strategy follows the successful release of an initial batch of games over the past few years, which helped end a lengthy hiatus for the series.

Okamoto noted in an interview with Famitsu that the company is currently evaluating various projects to continue the momentum. While specific details remain undisclosed, the producer emphasized that the team is committed to moving beyond the initial releases to ensure the franchise remains active and avoids the perception that development might be abandoned again.

The initial wave included the Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill f, and the most recent release, Silent Hill: Townfall. Okamoto expressed relief regarding the successful launch and positive reception of these titles, which featured the protagonist Simon Ordell in a 90s Scotland setting.

Beyond these current projects, the future of the series remains a point of interest for fans. Previously, developer Bloober Team confirmed their involvement in a remake of the original Silent Hill title, signaling that the franchise will continue to expand through multiple avenues.
