The latest patch for Final Fantasy XIV introduces significant updates to the Beastmaster limited job's Crucible of the Unbroken mode. These changes arrive as part of a balance update previously referenced by Creative Studio III, focusing on refining the experience for players engaged with this specific content.
Gameplay adjustments include saving the difficulty level of a Crucible board, which now defaults to the previous setting until the player logs out. Additionally, the system will automatically fill beast teams that have three or fewer members. Scoring has also been modified, with increased points awarded for defeating enemies and higher bonuses for the Sleepless Survival objective.
The first ranked season for the Crucible is scheduled to commence on Sunday, October 25th. To participate, players must choose the Third Degree difficulty and enable the ranking participation option. Server standings will be tracked on a dedicated page on the official website, though the developer has yet to confirm an end date for this inaugural season.
Beyond the Beastmaster-focused content, the update implements same-region player matchmaking for Japanese data centers. The patch also includes various bug fixes intended to improve the stability and performance of both the Beastmaster job and the Crucible of the Unbroken mode.
