Coin Crew has announced that Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School will arrive on PlayStation 5 on November 5. This sequel transitions from the linear narrative of the original title to a fully explorable open campus environment.
The game features a redesigned campus structure where players can engage in local and online cooperative play throughout the story and various puzzles. The developers have expanded the world to include new missions, secrets, and characters, ensuring the experience remains accessible to both returning fans and newcomers.
Key locations like the Headmaster’s Office and the Humanities Campus have been rebuilt and expanded following the library fire caused by Quanty. The Humanities area now offers a more welcoming atmosphere compared to the Science or Art campuses, featuring offices and classrooms designed to encourage exploration and philosophical debate.
The developers designed the campus as a living puzzle, incorporating landmarks and hidden keyhole-shaped ornaments to reward curiosity. Players will not have immediate access to all areas, as the environment is intended to be discovered gradually through exploration.
